Meet Dr. Raj Chowdhury, MD, SGK Plastic Surgery’s 2026–2027 Aesthetic Surgery Fellow

Dr. Raj Chowdhury, MD is a board-eligible Plastic Surgeon originally from Florida. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry with honors from the University of Florida before receiving his medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He completed six years of rigorous integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery training at Indiana University School of Medicine, where he served as administrative Chief resident. During his training he developed a strong foundation in both reconstructive and aesthetic surgery while training alongside leaders in the field. During residency, Dr. Chowdhury discovered a deep passion for aesthetic surgery and the artistry involved in helping patients achieve natural, balanced results.

Dr. Chowdhury is known for his thoughtful and patient-centered approach to care. He believes aesthetic surgery is not only about physical transformation, but also about helping patients feel more confident and comfortable in themselves. His surgical philosophy combines technical precision, attention to detail, and individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique goals.

He has a particular interest in facial rejuvenation, breast aesthetics, and body contouring, and he appreciates the blend of artistry and innovation that aesthetic surgery offers. In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Chowdhury has participated in international medical mission work in Kenya, providing reconstructive surgical care to underserved communities. These experiences have further strengthened his commitment to compassionate care and service.

Dr. Chowdhury is thrilled to join SGK Plastic Surgery as the 2026–2027 Aesthetic Surgery Fellow under the mentorship of several prominent surgeons. He looks forward to refining his expertise in advanced aesthetic surgery techniques while learning from one of the nation’s premier aesthetic practices. Outside of his medical career when he is not taking care of patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, young daughter, exercising and playing golf.
