Depending on the size of your treatment area, a laser treatment can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. Both legs or the back can usually be treated in about 20 minutes.
The laser hair removal procedure concentrates laser beams on the hair follicles in their growth stage, whose pigment absorbs the energy of the laser. This damages and disables the hair follicle, making it unable to grow hair.
During the following 1-2 weeks, the portion of the hair shaft that is below the skin is pushed out. You will notice hairs falling out or shedding during this time. The remaining follicle is left inactive and empty. To ensure every follicle in the treatment area is addressed by the laser during the growth stage of the hair, several treatments are required over a period of time.

Shave 24-48 hours before your treatment session, but do not pluck or wax the treatment area. The follicles need to have the hair roots in them in order to be properly treated.
Do not tan, pluck, wax or have electrolysis for about a month or so before laser hair removal. Ensure the area is clean shaven and free of any products on the day or your procedure.
