What should I expect during a BOTOX treatment?

First, you will be greeted by our patient care coordinator. You will then meet with Dr. Kim and her nurse injector who will listen to your desired goal and evaluate your face. The treatment plan will be discussed with you; and the injection will be performed. Your Conroe BOTOX injections can take ten minutes or longer depending on how many areas are being treated and how many units of BOTOX are required to treat those areas.

Some areas, such as the crow’s feet on the corners of the eyes, may only require eight units per side, and so the treatment is relatively quick. Other areas, such as the forehead, can require more units and will require a longer time to administer.

Is there any downtime with BOTOX injections?

You can expect to continue with your day as normal but be sure to avoid a few things for the first day or so. Things to avoid include:

Massaging the face
Excessive sweating or exercise
Sun exposure
Drinking alcohol
Getting other facial treatments such as a chemical peel, microdermabrasion or laser treatment

It may take a few days for the results to start to become apparent and they will continue to develop over the coming weeks.
